Earlier this year, AE Tuition announced a special opportunity for one hardworking and dedicated child who is receipt of Pupil Premium to receive a fully funded place on their Year 5 One Year Course through a Bursary Scholarship. The scholarship was made possible by the generosity of an AE Tuition alumni parent, who wishes to remain anonymous.
The opportunity attracted some strong applicants who took part in a rigorous selection process. Every child who applied demonstrated commitment, enthusiasm and potential, making the final decision an extremely difficult one.
In an unexpected and heartwarming development, the alumni parent generously decided to fund not one, but two children through the Bursary Scholarship programme! The successful children have now been selected, and their families have been informed of the good news.
Our anonymous alumni congratulated the children and their parents with this message: “Congratulations to all the scholarship recipients! Your child truly deserves this opportunity and this education. We are extremely delighted and proud to be part of his or her educational journey, and we look forward to supporting their growth and success in the years ahead.”
Congratulations once again, and we wish your child every success!”
Throughout the process, our Tuition Resource Managers, Jackie Hurden and Jacqui Turner, were deeply impressed by the dedication and talent shown by all the children involved. Inspired both by the children and the generosity of the anonymous alumni parent, Jackie and Jacqui made the remarkable decision to personally contribute to the cost of an additional bursary scholarship place on the Year 5 One Year Course.
Here is a response from the child’s parent when they found out the news. “I just wanted to say, thank you and to your team for giving my child the opportunity to be assessed in her creative writing skills. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience today.”
As a result, three children who are in receipt of Pupil Premium will now benefit from AE Tuition’s Bursary Scholarship programme this September.
Jackie Hurden commented, “We were truly overwhelmed by the standard of applications.” Jacqui Turner said, “The children demonstrated determination, enthusiasm and a real desire to learn. We are incredibly grateful to our alumni parent for their generosity and are delighted that three deserving children will now have the opportunity to join us.”

AE Tuition congratulates all the children who participated in the selection process and extends its warmest congratulations to the three scholarship recipients. Also, we thank their parents for being fully committed to supporting their children on the course. An open partnership between parent, child and teacher is important for 11+ success.
The team looks forward to welcoming them through the tuition centre doors in September and supporting them on their educational journey.
