Remote Learning
Due to the ongoing success of our remote-learning courses, for 2024/2025 we continue to offer the option of remote-learning delivery of the following courses:-
- Year 3 Pre-Plus remote-learning
- Year 4 Pre-Plus remote-learning
- Year 5 11+ remote-learning
- Scholarship/Independent school remote-learning
- Summer Courses in VR/NVR, Essential Maths, Advanced Maths and English
Teaching is provided by fully UK qualified and experienced teachers, who have also been trained to deliver AE Tuition Ltd’s specialised programmes.
Pupils who attend our remote-learning courses will experience the same level of tuition and support from our tuition team as our classroom-based pupils. Our courses prepare children for GL Assessment and equivalent 11+ examinations which are used in virtually all grammar schools in England and also independent school examinations.
Remote-learning tuition will be delivered via Zoom sessions from our tuition centres by the designated class teacher supported by supervisors and trained assistants.
The session will involve online teaching by the class teacher, weekly instructions and contact with parents and individual one-to-one support for children on areas of difficulty.
For additional support, we also provide you with access to video recordings of each weekly lesson for the duration of the course (these are pre-recorded and professionally filmed with no pupils present).
All materials will be supplied by post well in advance of lessons (to UK addresses only) so children have everything they need for their lessons.
In summary:
The remote courses are delivered via:
- A weekly Zoom teaching session delivered by the class teacher with the support of up to two supervisors and eight classroom assistants at the designated lesson time The assistants and supervisors are equipped with laptops which will have two high-definition educational cameras attached to them. One camera will be able to view a book and the other will allow the child to view the assistant working with them. Zoom technology will be used and this will also enable the whiteboard facility to be utilised
- All materials will be sent out on a monthly basis by post (to UK addresses only) in advance of lessons
- All assessments, mock exams, parent consultations will be delivered remotely
- A parents’ presentation video on the 11+ and grammar school entry requirements, during the summer term
- Monitoring, reports and feedback
- For additional support, we also provide you with access to every video recording of each weekly lesson for the duration of the course (these are pre-recorded and professionally filmed with no pupils present)
