Year 4 Pre-Plus (7-month) Late Start

Overview

This course is ideal for pupils who were not enrolled on the Year 4 One Year 11+ course. It is more intensive because it runs over 7 months instead of 11 months. However, we believe that the earlier a child begins preparing for the 11+ exams, the smoother their journey will be. Starting 11+ preparation in Year 4 provides more time for children to develop the confidence and skills required to pass the 11+.

This course prepares children in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Parents can choose from either a classroom based or remote delivery method for complete flexibility, meaning it does not matter where you live in the UK.

Pupils attend weekly sessions for 2 hours and 15 minutes, with 45 minutes of homework per night. Each group session is taught by a qualified and experienced teacher, and a team of supervisors and classroom assistants also provide one-to-one support.

Parents are invited to attend the last 15 minutes of each session to observe and receive homework information. If a parent is unable to attend, all necessary information will be available on our Parent Portal, which serves as a central hub for both parents and pupils.

This ‘Late Start’ remote course is for pupils who missed enrolment earlier on in January.

One to one support
A parents' presentation video on the 11+ and school entry requirements, during the summer term
Monitoring, pupil progress reports and feedback
For additional support we also provide you with access to every video recording of each weekly lesson, for the duration of the course (these are pre-recorded & professionally filmed with no pupils present)
