When children start our Year 5 One Year Course in September, they have one year of preparation time before they take their 11+ exams. During this period, our Year 5 pupils grow in their knowledge of subjects and develop the skill sets they require to pass the 11+. They will also develop the literacy and numeracy skills required for secondary school education.
Our 11+ courses prepare children for verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths, English and technical English for 11+ examinations set by GL Assessment, FSCE (Future Stories Community Enterprise), CSSE (Consortium of Selective Secondary Schools in Essex, and SEAG (Schools Entrance Assessment Group) in Northern Ireland. The preparation covers 11+ examinations in Bucks, Berks, and all other grammar schools in the Greater London/North London, Surrey/Kent/Essex regions, and all other areas in the UK.
Parents should contact schools directly for application procedures and catchment details. Some high performing grammars have more specific English and Maths requirements, and it is advisable for these children to also attend our spring/summer Advanced English and Advanced Maths courses. The spring Advance English Course includes critical thinking skills (FSCE requirement).
Pupils attend weekly sessions for 2 hours and 30 minutes, with up to one hour of homework per night. Each group is taught by a UK-qualified, experienced teacher, and a team of supervisors and classroom assistants provide one-to-one support.
Parents can choose either the classroom-based or the remote learning delivery method for complete flexibility, meaning it does not matter where you live in the UK.
Parents are invited to attend the last 15 to 30 minutes of each session to observe and receive homework information. If a parent is unable to attend, all necessary information will be available on our Parent Portal, which serves as a central hub for both parents and pupils.
Balance remaining to be paid by Standing Order in 11 monthly instalments of £328, to commence in September 2025 until July 2026
