The AE Tuition Ltd educational assessment is a comprehensive series of tests, followed by a consultation for parent(s) and child with a teacher.
WHO IS IT FOR? All new pupils who are currently in years 3, 4 and 5, and are not currently / have not previously enrolled on an AE Tuition course. The assessment is a very useful starting point for parents who are considering putting their child through the tuition process. The assessment stands alone as a valid and honest opinion of the child’s present educational ability and future potential attainment.
LOCATION: Langley Tuition Centre / Remotely Online
COST: Free for new candidates only
DATE AND TIME: Thursday 14th December 2023. Appointments from 4.30-6.15pm

The whole assessment process normally takes between 2 – 2 ½ hours from the time the child arrives. Parents will be invited to attend a live presentation about grammar school entry and the AE Tuition 11+ preparation courses.
PLEASE NOTE: If attending remotely online, parents will need a second device that can access the internet, in order to view the live presentation, etc., whilst their child sits the assessment.
The Educational Assessment includes the following:
An overall percentage score is calculated and children are graded between 1 and 10 (10 being the highest). The assessment is specifically designed to predict a child’s likelihood of success in the 11+ examinations.
Placement on courses is not dependent on assessment scores; the decision to commence tuition is entirely at the parents’ discretion.
No assessment is fool-proof. It cannot test determination, preparedness for hard work and latent potential that may be unlocked within an individual during the process of tuition.
An initial assessment is a useful guideline for parents and teacher as a measure of the child’s current performance and future potential.
NOTE: After the assessment, there is no obligation to enrol on any course.
